Wizz Air Announces 15 New Routes from Tirana
Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air has announced it will be opening a new base in Albania with three new aircraft.A total of 15 new routes will fly in and out of Tirana. Travellers will now be able to fly directly to Austria, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Italy, the UK, Hungary, France, the Netherlands and Czechia.

The new routes will be operational as of 1 July.

“We see the potential to re-stimulate demand for low-cost travel and contribute to the vital recovery of tourism in these markets. With our new health and safety protocol designed to ensure that our customers and crew can fly safely, we are able to offer more affordable travel opportunities on our extensive network,” Wizz Air CEO Jozsef Varadi said.

The airline will also open bases in Milan, Larnaca, and Lviv on 1 July.
